Shooting in National Reserved Forest

Application for Filming Permit

Approval requests should be submitted

at least

10 business days
prior to the filming date.

Documents Required

  • Film permit issued by Thailand Film Office
  • Letter addressed to Royal Forest Department (from Department of Tourism)
  • Synopsis, story board/final script in Thai (only related parts) 
  • Layout of film setting and list of filming equipment 
  • Drone controller registration (if drone is used)

Fee and Security Deposit

For filming feature film and TV drama
2,500 THB
/per day
For filming a documentary, advertising, TV commercial, TV program, and still photography
2,000 THB
/per day

Site for submitting approval request and fee payment

  • For Bangkok Metropolitan Region, approval requests should be submitted to Recreational Forest Management Office.
  • For other provinces, approval requests should be submitted to Department of Forest Resource Management 1 - 13 and all branches.
