27 Dec 2024: The Thai Film Incentive Committee has approved an increase to film incentives for foreign film productions in a bid to remain competitive around filming in Southeast Asia. Foreign productions had previously been offered a cash rebate of 15% for every $1.5m (THB50m), 20% for spend $2.8 – C4.3m (THB100 – 150m) and 25% for spend over $4.3m (THB150m) on shooting in the country, with an additional 5-10% earned for using local crew, promoting Thai culture and filming in designated provinces, without Maximum Cap.
